The last games played in La Liga contained quite a few surprises – the biggest of them all was Barcelona’s 3-4 defeat against Celta Vigo.
The team is eager to bounce back and return to their winning ways, especially since they play at home against Deportivo La Coruna – a team which they beat 8-0 last time around. Saturday’s game will be completely different, though …
Barcelona vs Deportivo La Coruña – 15/10/2016
Barcelona will play without Messi(?), again, out with an injury. Although the quality in their team in undeniable, they’ve shown this season that they’re very dependent on Messi’s form – especially because Suarez and Neymar are not at the top of their form yet.
After the 3-4 defeat at Vigo last weekend, the team absolutely needs a win in order to lose Atletico and Real from their sight. Suarez and Neymar are coming after long journeys from South America, meaning they might not be at the top of their game on Saturday.
Meanwhile, La Coruna is known to be a disciplined, hard-working team which is not easy to beat, at all. All their games were decided by one goal – both wins and losses. They’ve managed to record a 2-1 win over Gijon last time around, after a 5 game run without a win.
One of their main worrying points is the fact that they’ve sold their star forward, Lucas Perez, to Arsenal, and his replacement (Andone) hasn’t started scoring yet.
Barcelona vs Deportivo Betting Tips
This is the reason why we don’t back Deportivo to produce a big result at Camp Nou. If they aren’t able to score, they surely can’t return with points from Camp Nou. Barcelona will win this game, and we also back Suarez to score.
Furthermore, if you’re looking for sure bets, over 1,5 or 0,5 are almost certain to happen, while Depor will surely not score more than once. Also, we don’t believe this game will feature lots of yellow cards – so under 4,5 is another very good idea.
