Belgium – Bosnia, the header of Day 2 in Group H, is one of those games which seem very easy to predict, but once you look into them a little better, turn into a nightmare.
Clashes between a second-tier but high-class team (Belgium) and a third-tier, but quality and hardworking team (Bosnia) are always open to any kind of result – from 0-0 to 3-4.
Belgium vs Bosnia & Herzegovina – 7th October
Betting Odds: Belgium 1.44 or 4/9 Draw 4.75 or 15/4 Bosnia & H 8.00 or 7/1
Group H is well-balanced between 3 good teams and 3 minnows. All 3 good teams managed to win on Day 1, but the Bosnians were the most impressive: a 5-0 win over Estonia, which isn’t the worst team possible.
Also, from a historic perspective, the Bosnians have 3 wins over Belgium in the last 16 years, although Belgium avoided defeat in their last 2 encounters. The ex-Yugoslavian team seems in fine form, and should at least battle for a draw if not all 3 points.
On the other side, the Belgians have reasons to be happy and reasons to be concerned. First of all, some of their attacking players (Lukaku, De Bruyne, and Carrasco) are in fine form and scored some superb goals recently.
They should be able to penetrate any defense, but Euro 2016 has shown us that they’re not particularly good at playing together.
Also, Belgium always seems to have trouble against teams which are focused on defense and discipline – another good reason to be concerned for the result of Friday’s game.
Belgium vs Bosnia & Herzegovina Betting Tips
From a betting perspective, we really can’t put a finger on the final result of the game. Given the great quality of their players and the fact that the game is played on home ground, we expect Belgium to at least score, and also propose a goalscorer: Lukaku.
Any other bets are more-or-less guesses, which is why we won’t go into any other predictions, except for a possible over 2,5 goal bet – which would be helped tremendously by an early goal from either side.
Both Teams To Score – Yes: 1.95 0r 19/20
Belgium & Over 2.5: 2.05 or 21/20

Portugal seems to treat these World Cup qualifiers just as they’ve treated the European Championship – growing their squad game after game.
