Brighton vs Milton Keynes Dons – England FA Cup 2017 – Match Preview, Predictions & Betting Tips
We haven’t seen lots of teams outside the Premier League win the FA Cup in recent years, but there have been a few notable exceptions. Millwall and Cardiff played the FA Cup final in 2003 and 2007, although they’ve both lost it, while Wigan actually won the trophy in 2013 and relegated immediately after. One of the lower league teams which could go all the way this year is Brighton and their next game is against MK Dons.
Brighton vs MK Dons – 07 January 2017
Full Time Result: Brighton 1.5 or 1/2 Draw 4.75 or 15/4 MK Dons 7.00 or 6/1
Total Goals Over/Under 2.5: Over 1.60 or 3/5 Under 2.30 or 13/10
Both Teams To Score: Yes 1.80 or 4/5 No 1.95 or 19/20
There aren’t a lot of things to say about Brighton and Hove Albion which we haven’t already covered in our previous Sky Bet Championship analysis. The team still sits in 1st place and is unbeaten in quite a while, has the best defense in the league and is the main contender for Premier League promotion.
They have proven that their squad also has sufficient depth to be able to make a change or two in the team, so they shouldn’t be very concerned ahead of their game against MK Dons – especially since they play at home.
Meanwhile, their opponents sit 18th in League One. They surely have a squad which shouldn’t relegate from the league but have to start showing this on the field – which is probably their main objective in this period.
The FA Cup is, without a doubt, not of interest for a club that is much more worried about other aspects of their campaign so far. That being said, we think MK Dons will probably feature lots of reserve players in this fixture.
Brighton vs MK Dons Betting Tips
That being said, a home win is a no-brainer here. We think this is one of the most one-sided games from this stage of the cup which doesn’t involve a Premier League team, and expect Brighton to triumph quickly. A handicap bet (Brighton -1) is also a very good idea, at much higher odds.
