International Champions Cup 2016 Betting Previews, Odds And Tips
The American part of the International Champions Cup features yet another spectacular clash. French giants Paris Saint-Germain, under the guidance of new coach Unai Emery, will face the challenge of Leicester city, undoubtedly the most surprising team on the planet, both in terms of gameplay and results. Who will emerge victorious from this clash that seems easy to predict at first?
31 July – Carson, USA
First of all, it’s very hard to say that Leicester’s games are “easy to predict”. Their entire Premier League campaign last year was nothing more than a string of what seemed to be surprises on paper.
We did manage to find some common ground between their games : they usually scored, they conceded few goals, they very rarely lost with a difference of more than 1 goal, and their awesome attacking duo were the most probable to score.
Their only ICC game so far went along the same lines – they drew 1-1 with Celtic after an impressive solo goal by Mahrez. Need we say more?
Meanwhile, Paris Saint-Germain have shown in their two impressive wins so far (same score, 3-1, vs. Real Madrid and Inter) that they don’t miss Zlatan Ibrahimovic at all.
Granted, most of their goals were scored by fullbacks (Meunier, Aurier, Kurzawa), but when you win in such a convincing manner, can you really complain who scores your goals?
Unai Emery is sure to set the team up differently from Laurent Blanc, and we already see a few hints of what the new coach wants.
The clearest idea we see so far is to bet that PSG will score, or that PSG won’t lose. They seem like a well-blended, offensive team and started the friendly season in full force.
On the other side, Leicester still seem to live on the high that is their latest Premier League campaign. Our bet is that Paris Saint-Germain will win – and we’ll see a few goals. Good luck!
Paris Saint-Germain To Win: 1.72 or 8/11
Team Total Goals – Paris Saint-Germain Over 1.5: 1.72 or 8/11
