After two qualifying games, Group E is exactly the hard-fought, balanced group we predicted it would be at the beginning of the campaign.
The game in Day 3 between Romania and Kazakhstan would have been a lot easier to predict after Day 1 – when Kazakhstan drew Poland and Romania drew Montenegro. Day 2 came and gone, and our ideas went down the drain. Let’s see together why.
Kazakhstan vs Romania – 11/10/2016
The Kazakhstani outsiders played very well against Poland, scoring twice and producing some very good chances. Sadly for them, they went on to lose 0-5 against Montenegro, in a game where they haven’t managed to create a single clear-cut chance and conceded three times from set plays.
This disaster has to be erased very soon from the collective memory of their squad, but the home game against Romania won’t do them any favors.
On the other hand, Romania didn’t produce great football at home against Montenegro on Day 1, but overcame Armenia away from home easily on Day 2.
The squad led 3-0 in the 12th minute of the game thanks to strikes from Stancu, Popa and debutant Marin, and the final result was a surprising 5-0.
Daum’s side never wanted to stop scoring and take their foot off the gas, and if they continue their form in the next away game, it will be very hard for Kazakhstan to stop them.
The only bad news for them come from statistics : Romania very, very rarely wins 6 points from these doubles.
Kazakhstan vs Romania Betting Tips
Regardless of this last fact, we think that the Romanians will do very well in this game as well. Although the home team will give everything they’ve got, an X2 bet is almost sure to happen – and Romania to win would be another great idea.
