Liverpool vs Stoke City – Premier League Match Preview, Predictions & Betting Tips
Liverpool and Stoke are two of the luckier teams of Day 18 since they don’t have to play on the second day of Christmas, the traditional “Boxing Day”. Instead, Stoke will come at Anfield row on the 27th, looking to continue their fine form and try to stop Liverpool’s winning streak. Will they manage to do so, or will Klopp’s side simply walk over their opponents?

Liverpool is currently sitting behind league leaders Chelsea, with 37 points, 6 behind the high-flying blues. They’ve lost points in a very characteristic style for them, like losing 3-4 against Bournemouth after leading 3-1 or drawing West Ham 2-2 at home.
While a title challenge might be a little hard to do, a top-four finish which would bring them back in the Champions League would be a great achievement for Klopp’s side. In order for that to happen, they absolutely must beat teams like Stoke, especially at home – even without players like Coutinho, Grujic or Matip, all out with injuries.
Their opponents will make things difficult for them, of course. Stoke are in a good form at the moment, only losing 2 of their last 10 games. Their away game is also good, featuring wins at Watford and Hull and even a draw against Manchester City.
They do lack a couple of players for the game against Liverpool, like Butland, Bardsley, and Cameron (all injured) or Arnautovic (suspended). Without these key pieces in their tactics, they might be inclined to play counter-attacking football at Anfield.
Liverpool vs Stoke City Betting Tips
That being said, we think we will be looking at an interesting game. Both teams to score is actually a good idea, since Stoke have the good habit of scoring in most of their games. Liverpool to win is a clear bet, but we’d actually be more comfortable going with Liverpool scoring at least twice – since we all know they’re not very capable of holding leads.
