From the perspective of a neutral football fan, the game between Manchester United and Leicester couldn’t have come at a better time. Both teams are in great need for points after some less-than-ideal games, especially Mourinho’s side. The Red Devils play the reigning champions after two straight defeats, but more worryingly, after not playing convincing football.
Manchester United vs Leicester City
Betting Odds: Man United 1.72 or 8/11 Draw 3.90 or 29/10 Leicester 5.25 or 17/4
Leicester City, on the other hand, isn’t doing very well either. After a horrible 1-4 defeat against Liverpool in which they were clearly and completely outplayed, they managed a 3-0 home win against Burnley.
They only managed to win 1 point so far against big teams (0-0 against Arsenal) and don’t seem to be able to repeat last season’s great performance. But with players like Mahrez, Vardy or Musa on the field, you never really know what Leicester are capable of.
Sadly for them, Manchester United don’t seem very threatening either. Mourinho’s side lost their last 3 games, including a very disappointing 1-3 loss against Watford, which they beat on 8 previous occasions in a row. The squad seems completely dependant on Zlatan’s form and can’t seem to create clear cut chances.
Pobga is, by far, their most disappointing player of the season, failing to be that clear mind in center midfield that United bid for. They know they have to turn their fortunes around very soon, especially because their local rivals are going from strength to strength.
Betting Tips – Manchester United vs Leicester City
That is why we think Manchester United will dominate the game and score at least once. We expect a nervy game, with possession or United’s side as well as a couple of yellow cards picked here and there (Huth, Morgan, Fellaini, Ibra are all used to picking up cards).
If you’re looking for a winner, we fancy Man United more than Leicester, but we actually advise you to bet on a disciplined and tactical game – under 2,5 goals.
Man United & Under 2.5: 4.00 or 3/1
