Napoli and Benfica are two teams which have yet to taste defeat this season. Will any of the two teams find itself in front of its first loss of the season, after their direct game in Group B of the Champions League?
Napoli vs Benfica
Betting Odds: Napoli 1.66 or 4/6 Draw 3.90 or 29/10 Benfica 6.00 or 5/1
Napoli is the new leaders in Serie A, with 10 points, after Juventus’ defeat against Inter last weekend. The team looks very well, despite Higuain’s departure this summer.
Milik is their new star forward, and he’s made an instant impact, scoring in all competitions so far, even if he isn’t the “poacher” forward that Higuain was.
The rest of the team is more or less classic – the same core and style that led Napoli to challenge for the Serie A title last year round.
In the Champions League, they started perfectly with a win in Kyiv and will now be looking to double their points at home against Benfica.
On the other hand, Benfica’s season has looked almost exactly the same, except for their Champions League game: they only managed a 1-1 draw against Besiktas.
Their situation is far from desperate or complicated, and even one point from the game against Napoli wouldn’t be the end of the world for the Portuguese side.
Their squad is brimming with talent and experience, and not only domestic experience, but also international and European as well. Sadly for them, they will miss Jonas, Danilo, and Jardel – three key pieces in their tactical plan.
Napoli vs Benfica Betting Tips
From a betting perspective, we back Napoli to win after a hard-fought game. Under 2,5-3,5 goals is another good idea, but Napoli to win is still a better option in our opinion.
They home form will be just too much for Benfica, which will feel the absences of its key players. Napoli will win, will have possession and Milik will probably score. Enough said.
