World Cup 2018 Qualifiers
One of the most surprising results of Day 1 took place in Kazakhstan, where the local team came back from two behind to draw Poland, 2-2.
The Polish are generally seen as the favorites of the group, and in the next game, they encounter Denmark – another team which is in contention for direct qualification. The Polish will quickly want to put the result of Day 1 behind them, but will they be able to do so?
Poland vs Denmark – 8th October
Betting Odds: Poland 2.05 or 21/20 Draw 3.30 or 23/10 Denmark 3.60 or 13/5 with xNx
We know that Denmark are never easy to play against. They won narrowly in Armenia on Day 1 and are currently group leaders ahead of their trip to Poland.
The two teams have played their fair share of games in the past, with Denmark leading in victories, but the Polish won their most recent encounter 3-2. The Nordic team will want to finish at least second in the group, so points against Poland are a must.
Meanwhile, Poland is coming after their great run at Euro 2016, boasting their (probably) most talented generation of all time. Led by the great Robert Lewandowski, Poland are looking for direct qualification for the World Cup, but have already suffered a minor setback in Kazakhstan.
A win against Denmark will erase that draw – because the Danes are their direct competitors for 1st place, alongside Romania. Also, Poland is a team which doesn’t rely on defense – it just doesn’t sit in their character.
Poland vs Denmark Betting Tips
That being said, we do expect to see goals. It’s clear that the immense talent in the Polish offensive will produce a goal or goals (which can also be a bet, Poland over 0,5), but they will also probably concede in the process.
1X is another bet you might consider, but we suggest going for goals this time around – either over 2,5 goals, or a “both to score” bet. All good ideas – just pick whatever feels best for you. Good luck!
