Portugal vs Latvia Predictions And Betting Tips – 13/11/2016

portugal vs latvia 13 11 2016

Portugal seems to treat these World Cup qualifiers just as they’ve treated the European Championship – growing their squad game after game.
This time around, their opponent is Latvia, a team with no objective and nothing impressive so far. Can the Portuguese have any doubts of winning this game?

FT Result:  Portugal 1.045 or 1/22  Draw 19.00 or 18/1  Latvia 67.00 or 66/1

Total Goals Over/Under 2.5:  Over 1.25 or 1/4  Under 4.00 or 3/1

Both Teams To Score:  Yes 3.50 or 5/2  No 1.28 or 2/7

The only thing slightly good for Latvia, at first glance, is their goal difference: 1-4 after three games is not horrible for a small team.
Sadly, they’ve encountered everyone BUT the two best teams in the group, which are widely expected to score quite a few against the small Baltic team.
The defeat against Hungary wasn’t surprising for anyone, but losing 0-2 at home against the Faroe Islands has shown us just where Latvia is on the soccer map at the moment. And it’s not a place any local fan would want them to be.
Meanwhile, Portugal comes after two consecutive 6-0 wins, after a defeat against the Swiss on opening day.
Their attack is certainly working fine at the moment, and they will want to win all their games until the end of the campaign if they want to keep close contact with the Swiss.
Latvia surely won’t pose any threat to this objective, and we do expect the home to score quite a few goals – maybe even 6, just like in their last two games.

Portugal vs Latvia Betting Tips

From a betting perspective, a home win is an easy bet. We expect Portugal to win by at least 2 or 3 goals, and Portugal over 2,5 goals is a good idea of a bet.
Cristiano Ronaldo will continue his great goalscoring record in the preliminaries, trying to catch up with Lewandowski in the goalscoring charts.
Also, we do expect to see some yellow cards in this game as well – we’ve seen at least 3 in each of Portugal’s games so far, regardless of the name of their opposition.
Cards: Over 3.5 @  1.83 or 5/6

Both Teams To Score & Over 2.5 Goals @  4.00 or 3/1
