It’s very hard to say that a team which won 6 points in their first two games doesn’t play good football, but we will say it nonetheless – England isn’t producing football.
They were a big, big disappointment in Euro 2016, and haven’t started their qualifying campaign for the World Cup great. Thankfully, they have a rather easy group – and their next adversary is Slovenia.
Slovenia vs England – 11/10/2016
The Slovenians have won four points so far – a 1-0 win against Slovakia at home and a 2-2 draw against Lithuania away.
The small country hasn’t been able to produce great results in recent past, but can’t be definitely ruled out of the competition for second place so far.
A couple of good results against their direct competitions (Slovakia and Scotland), maybe a surprise point against England and the Slovenians can be well on their way to winning second place.
Of course, this won’t be easy, but their home group will be the place where they can make things happen.
On the other hand, England’s interim manager, Gareth Southgate, started with a 2-0 win over Malta – which was almost treated as a defeat by their fans.
Except for a good performance from Alli and the inspiration of awarding Lingard his debut, there is little good news from the English side.
If they manage a win against Slovenia away from home, they will sit comfortably with 9 points after the first three games.
Unfortunately, England recently has a reputation of a great team in the qualifiers and a bad team at the final tournaments.
Slovenia vs England Betting Tips
This is why we’re predicting an away win in Slovenia for them. X2 is the sure bet here, while an away English win is certainly something we expect.
England to score is another great bet, even coupled with an under 3,5 or 2,5 goal bet. Overall, the idea is simple : England to win without impressing.
