In spite of the fact that their form hasn’t been the most consistent this year since they are also involved in continental soccer, Southampton has managed to have quite an unbeaten run at home.
They’ve only lost against Chelsea in competitive games so far this season and have turned their home ground into quite the fortress.
Sadly for them, they haven’t collected that many wins, and now only sit 11th, with a balanced 12-12 goal difference and only 14 points.
It’s clear that this position doesn’t reflect their true value, but they need to produce better football in order to improve.
Meanwhile, Everton is coming after a rather weird set of results. A draw against Man City and a commanding 2-0 victory over West Ham are coupled with a defeat against Burnley and a 0-5 defeat against Chelsea, in which they haven’t had a single shot on goal.
Their attacking players are the types which can score goals if given the opportunity, but their midfield doesn’t seem to produce a lot this season.
This is, coupled with the lack of confidence of their defense and goalkeeper, the biggest issue Everton have to face this season.
Southampton vs Everton Betting Tips
From a betting perspective, we recommend avoiding outright bets for this game, since really anything can happen. We do believe we’ll see less than 3,5 goals, and our favorite goalscorer is Romelu Lukaku. We do believe Everton will score, a bet which has some very nice odds, but that’s about everything we can recommend for this game.
Both Teams To Score – Yes @ 1.95 or 20/21 with 138
Goalscorer – Romelu Lukaku Anytime @ 2.70 or 17/10 with 138
