We have yet another great game in the extremely disputed Group A of the European World Cup qualifiers – Sweden vs. Bulgaria.
What else can we say about a game which involves the Bulgarians, who scored 5 goals and conceded 7 in their first two games?
Will we see another spectacular display against the Swedish, who are on the opposite end of the spectrum, only seeing 3 goals so far?
Sweden vs Bulgaria – 10/10/2016
Although the latter shot 29 times towards Luxembourg’s goal and managed to test the keeper with 12 of these tentatives, they only managed a 1-0 win over the weakest team in the group.
This result is very different from the 1-1 draw against the Netherlands, where the Nordic team was much more impressive.
A home game against Bulgaria is a great place to target 3 more points, which will be golden in the competition for 2nd place – where the Netherlands will also be their main competition.
Meanwhile, Bulgaria’s only 3 points came from a 4-3 win over Luxembourg. Conceding 3 times against such a weak opposition was a sign of a very weak defense, which also conceded 4 goals against France in their next game.
The small east-European team hasn’t managed to produce any fireworks so far, so we don’t expect them to do well in Sweden. They’ll probably compete for 4th place in this group, a finish just above Belarus and Luxembourg.
Sweden vs Bulgaria Betting Tips
From a betting perspective, it’s very hard to predict the number of goals that will be scored in this game. Bulgaria’s games saw 5 or 7 goals, while Sweden always had “under 2,5” goal games.
The final result will probably be good for the Swedes – 1X is the best option out there at the moment, while a solo home win is also something worth considering. Best of luck!
