We have now passed the half of the Champions League group stages. Some teams are hanging onto their last hopes to qualify to the knockout rounds and still have European games in spring, while others are already safe and will be looking to rotate their squad in these last games. Thankfully for us, neutral viewers, Group E doesn’t have such teams.
Tottenham vs Bayer Leverkusen – 02/11/2016
Tottenham is now looking for a rematch against Bayer Leverkusen, after a stale 0-0 draw in Germany that really didn’t help either team.
They are coming after a 1-1 draw against Leicester in the Premier League, a competition where they are impressing. Exiting the Champions League so early would be disappointing for the team, especially because they have been seeded in a rather accessible group.
A win over the Germans would send them well on their way towards qualifying since they would only need one additional win over CSKA – a much easier game.
Meanwhile, Leverkusen is having a horrible season on all fronts. They are very disappointing in their domestic league, where they only sit in 10th place with a perfect goal balance: 13-13.
Their Champions League record isn’t great either, consisting of 3 draws (2-2, 1-1 and 0-0). If they fail to win their next game, their qualification chances will be slim.
But a 3rd place finish isn’t a tragedy for the German squad, which certainly must focus on their domestic league – if they want to play in Europe next year.
Tottenham vs Bayer Leverkusen Betting Tips
That being said, Tottenham to avoid defeat is a virtual certainty here. White Hart Lane is a fortress in these times, regardless of which competition we’re speaking of. 1X for safe bets, 1 for the folk enjoying larger risks.
And if you want to bet on the number of goals, under 2,5 is a definite possibility here – Tottenham is great in defense and poor in attack these days.

Group H is one of the interesting ones for this week. Although Juventus and Sevilla are more or less sure of their qualification places, they still need to figure out who will win the group.
