Tottenham – Liverpool is the game which openes Day 3 of the Premier League and the derby of the round. The fixture will surely be spectacular, both from a historical perspective and the philosophy of the two sides. Both teams need a win, both for points and the morale boost, but the victory won’t come easy – who will prevail?
Premier League Betting Previews, Odds & Tips – Tottenham vs Liverpool
Liverpool is still the inconsistent side we’re been used to in the past years – Klopp hasn’t managed to change that yet. After a thrilling 4-3 victory away from home against Arsenal, Liverpool lost 0-2 at home against Burnley.
A mid-week victory in the League Cup ensured that the team is prepared and confident against Tottenham, a team they drew twice last season and hasn’t lost to since 2012. Coutinho and Mane seem like key players in the Liverpool attack, while it is still uncertain if Origi or Sturridge will start.
Tottenham hasn’t started the season ideally, drawing Everton 1-1 and winning 1-0 over Crystal Palace, thanks to an 83rd minute Wanyama goal. The football they’ve produced was not exactly top-tier, even though they can’t blame squad changes.
Their team is essentially the same which challenged for the title last time around, with only one or two changes. They clearly need to up their game if they are to win a point or points against Liverpool, a side which will be very motivated to win Saturday’s game.
We actually believe in Klopp’s side for this game. He is excellent in motivating and putting his team on the field in these big games, and should at least score. We also believe that Liverpool will not lose this game, and the odds for X2 are quite good at most betting agencies.
Over 1,5 goals or 2,5 goals are great ideas if you want larger odds, but if you’re looking to play easy money over 0,5 goals is enough. Best of luck!
Liverpool or Draw: 1.61 or 8/13
Both Teams To Score – Yes: 1.61 or 8/13
