Despite leading twice in their game against rivals Austria, Wales only managed to get a point out of the game. Thankfully for them, they return home to play against one of the weakest teams in the group, Georgia, who didn’t manage to collect any points in their first two games, against Austria and Ireland.
Wales vs Georgia – 9th October
If they truly target winning the group, the Welsh absolutely must win this game. A 2-2 draw against Austria away from home mean they currently have the upper hand but need to keep tempo and form high in order to make their group as easy as possible.
Their last game also brought some different good news: Bale is no longer indispensable. Joe Allen is in great form, Robson-Kanu is in great form, and the team overall shows great hunger for results. All these things should lead to a home win which will bring their tally to 7 points – quite good for their first 3 games.
On the other hand, Georgia quickly showed us that they have no objective in these qualification group. After 2 losses, their only objective is to not finish last in this group – which means they have to play a little better than fellow sufferers Moldova.
Their previous away game was played in Ireland, where they did show some good football, but lost 0-1. Of course, if the Welsh feels arrogant and don’t manage to gather enough motivation, anything is possible – like always in football.
Wales vs Georgia Betting Tips
All things considered, we do back Wales to do well and win all the 3 points. A solo home win is a good idea, and if you’re looking for something especially sure, go for a “Wales to score” bet.
The number of goals will probably be between 1 and 4 – quite a large interval, but if you have the possibility of betting on it, take it. Good luck!
Total Goals – Over 2.5: 1.91 or 10/11
