World Cup 2018 QualifiersMoving on to the next group of the World Cup qualifiers, we see something very interesting. Group D has two games in which the first four teams (separated by only 3 points) play against each other. The first game we will analyze from this day is the one between Wales and Serbia. Sounds very close on paper, but let’s see what more can we learn about the teams.

Both Teams To Score: Yes 1.90 or 10/11 No 1.90 or 10/11After a semi-final appearance in Euro 2016, most people would expect the Welsh to do a little better. They are undefeated in the group, but only won one game – 4-0 against minnows Moldova. They went on to draw Austria away from home, which can be considered a good result, but only managed another draw at home against Georgia, 1-1, in a game which they really should have won. All in all, the team seems to rely on a couple of star players like Bale or Allen too much. If they can’t win a game, the rest of the team isn’t likely to rise to the challenge. Meanwhile, Serbia is the surprising leader of the group, with 7 points from their first three games. After missing out on Euro 2016, nobody expected the Serbians to top the group after three games but wins against Austria (3-2) and Moldova (2-2) coupled with a draw against Ireland put them comfortably in first place. Avoiding defeat against Wales could extend their unbeaten run even further, and coupled with a win against Georgia, can put them in a prime spot for qualifying.
