Watford vs Tottenham – Premier League Match Preview, Predictions & Betting Tips

While most of the top European leagues have winter breaks, the Premier League schedule looks busier than ever. Teams are trying to get as many good results under their belt as possible since these will put them in prime positions when domestic and European cup ties return. Tottenham is pushing for a top-4 spot this season, and Watford will try to stop them in Round 19.

FT Result:  Watford 5.50 or 9/2  Draw 3.90 or 29/10  Tottenham 1.70 or 7/10

Total Goals Over/Under 2.5:  Over 1.95 or 19/20  Under 1.85 or 17/20

Both Teams To Score:  Yes 1.90 or 10/11  No 1.90 or 10/11

Since their defeat against Manchester United, Tottenham’s record has mirrored that of the Red Devils: straight victories. The team started playing more offensively and is now out-scoring all oppositions since one defeat could mean losing 5th place in favor of Mourinho’s squad.

The Spurs are coming after an awesome 4-1 away win against Southampton, one of the better teams in the division, and are showing great football. Harry Kane, Alli, Son and Rose are all playing brilliantly at the moment, and we can’t really find any real weakness in their game.

On the other hand, Watford seems content with their mid-table positioning. They sit 10th with 22 points and have a single win in their last 5 games, 3-2 against Everton. Their home record isn’t the best available either, with teams like Stoke City or Crystal Palace claiming points against them. It’s fair to say that they don’t really have a very big incentive at the moment since they’re not threatened with relegation and are not pushing for anything great either.

Watford vs Tottenham Betting Tips

That being said, we favor an away win here. Tottenham is on a high which should be enough to sink Watford. Tottenham to score at least twice is another great bet, while Harry Kane is the most obvious goalscorer. “Both teams to score” shouldn’t be avoided either since Watford are capable of putting the ball in the Spurs net at least once, while an “over 2,5” bet is another great idea. For high odds, combo this: Tottenham to win, Kane to score, over 2,5 goals.
